1) Information system is an collection of various components and tools within an organisation in order to find, process, store and synthesize information out of the data.The insights generated from the information systems are used to support decision making process, coordination amongst various functions and visualization of problems which helps managers in coming up with solutions and faster product development.

Basically, information systems provide integration between various resources in an organisation like software, hardware and communication devices in order to facilitate flow of information across the organisation.

People component of the information system refers to the business process, hierarchy, culture and functional specialities etc.

Management Component is related to the managing of the organization in terms of human resources, capital allocation and innovation management.

Technology component refer to the software and hardware which are necessary in order to process and propagate the information with in the organisation.
