Molecular diagnostic testing are very useful in modern medicine since we can detect many diseases at the early stage and can even detect it prior to disease onset by testing the inherited or mutation in pateients genome . It is very useful for physicians the get in to the diagnosis and can even prevent or prolong certain diseases due to early detection.for eg. In a cystic fibrosis patient there is more chances of cardiovascular risk, and it can be detected by screening the biological markers.

These tests are useful in the field of oncology, infectious diseases, pharmcogenomics and so on.

By the application of molecular biology to medical testing ,these molecular diagnostic tests analyse biological markers in genome and proteome in individual genetic code and they analyse how these cells express their genes as proteins.
