Q: Antibody production depends on the work of cellular components that belongs to the endomembrane system. Describe the features of the endomembrane system and the function of each of the components to bring about the increase of antibody production.

Endo membrane system comprise of ER, GOLGI APPARATUS AND VESICLES.

Protein which are secreted out side of cell follow secretory pathway.

Protein are synthesized on ER bound ribosome. This inset the synthesized protein in side the ER lumen.

In ER lumen , environment is oxidized which lead to oxidation of SH bonds present in antibodies and their dimerization.

From ER , with help of COP II vesicles antibody is transported in to golgi apparatus. In golgi apparatus post translational medications take place . This also act as sorting center.

From here with help of secretory vesicles, antibody is transported out side of cell.
