Answer 1= Social identity theory indicates that the behavior of an employee can be modified by the organization if the organization is able to modify the self-identity of the employee to change the self-concept of the person that derives from the inputs about the emotional attachment to the group.

Answer 2= The social identity means the connectivity of a person with a certain social class or group. The person tends to have similar types of traits and thinking as that of the group to which he or she belongs. Thus by changing the self-identity, one can also change his or her conduct

Answer 3= When I was working in the last organization, I used to consider my self belonging to the low performers or the ones who are at the marginal performance standard and it used to demoralize me a lot that despite putting so many efforts, my performance is not improving. During one of the interactions with my reporting manager, once she conveyed me that she rates me as one of the best performers as I was having the right approach towards the work. This really motivated me and I started to treat myself as among the best performers and then it manifested in the form of greater involvement and highly dedicated work attitude

Answer 4= By understanding the concept of self-identity, I would try to focus more on those groups which are considered valuable and high achievers as when I would start thinking myself as among those, my conduct, performance, and behavior will also start changing.
