human bones are mainly composed of

organic matter :- forms 1/3 weight of bone.it consists of fibrous material and cells.it is responsible for the toghness and resilence of bone

inorganic matter :- this part forms 2/3 weight of bone.It consists of calcium and magnesium salts .These salts are responsible for the rigidity and hardness of bone.

Bone is an anisotropic material .So depending upon the load of the application the bone behavior will change.Usually the bone supports only logitudinal direction of load.

the bone recieves loads in different directions
