1) We know that,

1 ft^3 = 7.481 gallons

So, 10 ft^3 = 10*7.481 = 74.81 gallons

Hence, 10 ft^3 is greater than 30 gallons.

2) ratio = 74.81/30 = 2.494

10 ft^3 is 2.494 times of 30 gallons.

B) Let X is the molar mass of M.

M2O5

% of O = 43.99

Moles of O = % of O / molar mass = 43.99/16 = 2.75 moles

% of M = 100 - 43.99 = 56.01

Moles of M = % of M/Molar mass = 56.01/X

From formula,

Mole ratio of M and O is

M : O = 2 : 5

56.01/M : 2.75  = 2 : 5

56.01 / 2.75*M = 2/5

56.01 * 5 / 2 * 2.75 = M

M = 50.93 g/mol

Hence, element is Vanadium of V ....Answer
