1.The electronic configiratcon of Li (3) is 1s2 2s1

So electron from 2s1 will be easier to remove .Since it is the outermost electron and hence the farthest from nucleus of lithium.

2. Koopman's theorem states that the first ionization energy of a molecular system is equal to the negative of the orbital energy of the highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO).
