CoViD-19 is the disease caused by novel coronavirus first seen in Wuhan, China in Dec'2019. It has been categorized as a pandemic not because of its fatal results but because of its geographical spread. It is highly contagious as the virus is transmitted to anyone by coming in direct contact with the respiratory droplets of any person who is infected. If he coughs, sneezes or touches any surface around him the virus can be transmitted to any person who is near the infected person or who touches the surfaces touched by the infected person. Hence you, your family or the whole community can be easily affected by this virus if the precautions are not taken.

Though the disease is rarely fatal, it does not have any medicines or treatments to cure it. Only staying in isolation and incentive care can reduce and cure it over a period of time naturally. The way that countries have figured out to avoid CoViD -119 from spreading is to avoid social contact and follow quarantine. With very fewer measures to prevent it and a very high rate of spread, the disease has affected the people in a big and adverse way. Living a normal social life can lead anyone to catch the disease from other people who are infected by unaware of it by being around them or touching the surfaces that they have touched. Hence the communities are left with no option that follows a strict social distancing and stops coming in contact with anyone till the time the pandemic is over.

This social distancing approach itself has affected the communities in a great way. All workplaces, education centres, recreation centres, restaurants, malls, public events etc have been closed and put on hold to avoid such public gathering that can lead to a huge number of infected cases. Such an effect of a disease has been seen for the first time in long years of history. Such measures are been taken to stop people from socialising because that is the only cause of the virus to spread and most effective preventive measure. The disease is a big concern now because it can spread from one to hundreds within no time. This effect on the community has forced everyone to take such steps of putting a hold to their normal social lives and follow quarantine.

For example, a person at a workplace is infected from the virus and attends the offices unaware of it. He meets people and touches everything around him from a life button, the doorknob to the desks, chairs, printer, computer etc. This way he leaves the respiratory droplets from coughing on all these. The people near him and touching him get infected from these droplets. These people who are infected meet other people from their social community and their family at home. Within no time several people are infected by these social contacts and the number raises from one to a 100s or even 1000s.
