Work done by air resistance is equal to the loss in theenergyW = mgh -(1/2)mv2=(0.16kg)[(9.8m/s2)(17m)-(0.5)(12m/s)2]=15.136JForce of air resistence F = W/h=(15.136J)/(17m)=0.89N
