mass of I = 4.00 g

and the remaining = 11.56 - 4 = 7.56 g is Br.


Then


moles of I = 4.00 g/(126.9 g/mol) = 0.0315 mol

moles Br = 7.56 g /(79.9 g/mol) = 0.0946 mol
