STEP-1:
NH4NO3(s) + H2O(l) -------> NH4OH(aq) + HNO3(aq)

STEP-2:
NH4OH(aq) + HNO3(aq) ------------> NH4+(aq) +NO3-(aq) + H2O(l)
The intermediate step (with ammonium hydroxide and nitric acid) doesn't really happen, it pretty much goes directly into the ion states. But that is how itwould be rearranged for product formation.
