Benzene has a heat of vaporization of 30.72 kJ/mol and a normal boiling point of 80.1 C. At what temperature does benzene boil when the external pressure is 480torr?
Could you go through the steps as to how you got the answer as well, please? I have used the Clausius-Clapeyron Equation, yet still cannot get the correct answer. It is very frustrating. Thank you so much!
I got 96 C each time I tried.. but that is not correct

At what temperature does ethanol boil on a day in the mountains when the barometric pressure is 547 mmHg? The heat of vaporization of ethanol is 39.3 kJ/mol and its normal boiling point is 78.3°C. (R = 8.314 J/K • mol) 4) Draw the phase diagram for a substance that liquifies with increasing pressure.
This was a question on my most recent chemistry exam, I did the best I could but habw no idea if I did this correctly. No matter what I tried I couldn’t find my answer in the choices but I got close a few times. My professor has a bad habit of rounding numbers so I susspect thay she may have rounded the 80.1°C to 80°C when she was creating the answer choices on the exam. Will someone please work...

For the preparation and standardization of NaOH with KHP im supposed to boil water for 1hr and 30 min to remove CO2....the problem is that if I don't boil it for that long and (30 min) b/c of not enough time but I put the water I boiled for 1/2 hr aproximately into a NaOH bottle with a CO2 absorber and stored it there for a few days. I would assume that I would have to boil the water again...but...
please answer the prelab excercise:) I tried doing it but I did not get very far Experiment 7: Grignard Reaction. Introduction Discovered by French chemist Victor Grignard, the reaction that now bears his name is an example of the preparation of an organometallic reagent. In this lab, phenylmagnesium bromide is the Grignard of interest, and it will be added to an aldehyde to produce an alcohol. Lab Objectives 1. To study organometallic reagents in general. benzophenone. 2. To prepare phenylmagnesium...
