The yellow light from a sodium vapor lamp has a frequency of 5.08x10^14 Hz. How much energy does each photon of that light carry?

Answer will not have 10^ in it.

= 6.63*10^-34 * 5.08* 10^14
= 3.368 * 10^-19 V
= 2.105 eV

E = hv
=> E = 6.626068 × 10-34 * 5.08 x 10^14 = 33.66 x 10^-20 = 3.37 x 10^-19 Joules

or 1ev = 1.602 *10^-19 joules

so, E = ( 3.37 x 10^-19)/(1.602 *10^-19) ev
=> E = 2.1ev
