It is important because it provides a repository for managing knowledge derived from all the information generated by professionals involved in the delivery of sustainable building. Management of all knowledge derived from information generated is important toward having holistic understanding on how decision made on one building system will affect another or more building systems. It provides holistic understanding on how decision made to achieve one building performance mandate will affect another or more performance mandates.
