Answer #1

(a). In syndiotactic polymers the substituents occupies the alternate positions along the polymer chain. But in atactic polymers the substituents occupies random positions along the polymer chain.

Due to the partial regularity in syndiotactic polystyrenes they can be partially crystallised while because of long range disorder of atactic polystyrene they are amorphous in nature.

(b).Isotactic polypropylene will crystallize more readily because in isotactic polymers the substituents are placed on the same side of the polymer chain. This is responsible for their long range order which imparts crystallinity in them.

Random distribution in atactic polymers makes them become amorphous with very less degree of crystallinity.

In the system shown below material A has a conductivity which increases with x, whereas material B has a constant thermal conductivity and it's cross sectional area decreases with x The left hand side and right hand side temperatures are maintained at 100 °C and 50 °C respectively. Under these conditions, (a) show (draw) qualitatively (without doing any calculations) the temperature variation in both materials as function of x. You may assume that the flow of heat in the...

Also, suppose your project manager wants the 8-bit processor to able to handle fixed-point arithmetic operations that include addition, subtraction, and multiplication. Assume you can perform division with the combination of previously mentioned instructions. The fixed-point number representation is eight bits and would need to represent numbers between -2d = 1000 0000 And Max number = 0111 1111...
