Answer:
Explanation of given systems in given parameters is as below:
If anyone is busy taking a particular service and another customer/unit is comes for getting that particular system, he/she/it has to wait until the first customers get the service. This forms a Queue . & Such a situation is called Queueing System.
If the time required for getting a particular system is greater than the time required for arriving new customer in the system the queue is the form
Calling population: A population from which customers/ units are arriving in the queue for getting a particular service is called calling population.
Server: The particular station that provides the service is called Server
there will be one or more than one server
A capacity of Queue: Maximum no. of customers/units can be given a particular service is called a capacity of a queue.
Queue discipline :
1) FIFO ( First In First Out): In this discipline, The customer arrive first in the system gets the service first and he can leave the system first
2) LIFO ( Last In First Out): In this discipline, The customer arrive last in the system gets the service first and he can leave the system first
3) Random in Random out: In this method, the unit is chosen without specific rule. This discipline is using in emergency conditions only.

Explain how you can view each of the following systems as a queueing system. In particular, determine the calling population, the item that enters the system, the servers, the nature of the service, the capacity of the queue, and the queue discipline. 1. A Supercuts (haircut) store 2. A parking lot 3. A fire station 4. A group of machines assigned to an operator for maintenance 5. A supercomputer shared among researchers of a university Fill in the table to...
