Design the wood wall formworkfor a 14’ - 10” (14.8 ft) high wall to be placed at the rate of pour of 4 ft per hour, internally vibrated.  

Assume the mix is made with Type I cement, with no pozzolans or admixtures, and that the temperature of concrete at placing is 75oF.  The unit weight of concrete is 150 lbs/ft3with a slump of 3 inches.  

The forms will have continuing reuse.  Assume that deflection is limited to l/360 of the span.  All lumbers are S4S.  Use form grade plywood sheathing ¾ inch thick in 4x8 - ft. sheets. Use 4x4 studs and double 2x6 walers.  4300 lb coil ties are to be used.  

Framing lumber is No. 2 Douglas Fir-Larch.   Fb = 900 psi, Fc= 625 psi (perpendicular to grain), Fc = 1650 psi (parallel to grain), Fv=180 psi, E=1,600,000 psi

  5. Draw a diagram of your completed design showing all material sizes and spacing dimensions.
