Try to build a Simulink model to demonstrate the principle of Superposition. Your model must include: 2-Step function blocks 3-Transfer function blocks . 1- Transport Delay . 1-Sum Block (located in Math Operations) 1-Scope (3 inputs) Step l: For the Transfer Function blocks, you will create one stable, first order transfer function. This transfer function should be repeated in all the three blocks. Step 2: To design the system, connect these components in a way similar to the model in the pre- laboratory project. One input should be left alone, and the other unit step input is delayed. These two-unit step functions will be the input for each of the two-transfer function blocks

Answer #1

Transportation delay : 1sec

Step input :1

Transfer function : 1/(s+1)

1st graph : without delay input

2nd graph :with delay input

3rd graph : sum of inputs with and without delay inputs

Simulink diagram is shown below :

Build a block diagram representation of this model in Simulink, including integration and summation blocks. Apply a step input to the system and plot the output y(t) for 5 seconds. Assume initial conditions for all states are 0. Discuss the system step response: based on visual observation, is this system stable or unstable? Based on the plot, why? Use the Matlab command ’ss2tf’ to get a transfer function representation for the system. Determine the poles of the system (consider using...

For example, for specimens incorporating air spaces or stud spaces, the metering area shall span an integral number of spaces (see 5.5). The depth of...

    10. Write a one-page summary of the attached paper? INTRODUCTION Many problems can develop in activated sludge operation that adversely affect effluent quality with origins in the engineering, hydraulic and microbiological components of the process. The real "heart" of the activated sludge system is the development and maintenance of a mixed microbial culture (activated sludge) that treats wastewater and which can be managed. One definition of a wastewater treatment plant operator is a "bug farmer", one who controls the aeration...
