Bio 102 Bradshaw Concept mapping The goal of this exercise is to help you find ways to make connections between the various systems we've started learning about. Because each persons' map should be different, you will have to put concepts, definitions, comparisons, linkages, etc. into your own words. Hcre are the steps to follow: 1. Cut out all the terms in the following page 2. Arrange them individually on a large sheet of paper, (11X 17 can be made by taping two sheets together) so that each term could be "connected" to at least one other term. These connections may be because their functions or definitions are related, or they act sequentially orn a system, or they are anatomical features that are next to each other, etc 3. Once you have an arrangement in which all the words have been used, and each has a connection to at least one other term, use a pencil to draw in connecting lincs, and write in a brief statement that explains why you connected them. You may add up to four new words by simply writing them in to help you make connections. 4. Finally, tape or glue your terms down, so they are permanently in place.
