The F fertility factor is integrated into the chromosome in an Hfr strain, is free in the cytoplasm in an F+ strain, and is missing from an F- strain. Hfr marker genes become part of a stable exconjugant genome.

*His indicates for the Histidine

*Leu Indicates for Leucine

*Pro indicates for proline

and

*Met indicates for Methionine
