Explain how to obtain and understand operational guidelines on safety, downtime and tools and equipment being used.
Safety, downtime and tools and equipment are the most important parts of the production process and for them, there are guidelines and instructions. These guidelines and instructions are very important as all the workers and the employees working in the production process have to face these parts of the production process. Now, to provide them the operational guidelines on these parts of the production process, firstly for safety, the organization has to give the context behind such safety guidelines, such as why the safety guidelines are needed and how they will help in production.
Once these things are cleared up, then the guidelines can be drawn upon and given to the workers in such a way that they understand and can agree with the safety measures taken. Now let us come to the downtime instructions, there are downtime problems in a production site and if that downtime is there, there must be guidelines for the workers during that downtime so that the control can be maintained. But the guidelines must not be stringent and the workers should agree to the guidelines, only then they will be able to understand the guidelines in the way we want them to understand.
Lastly, tools and equipment are majorly used by the workers in the production process, but the tools and pieces of equipment being used have instructions and guidelines with them so that the equipment could be used for longer times and for better purposes, the guidelines related to these tools have to be given in such a manner that the employees understand the seriousness of these guidelines towards these tools and equipments, as well as they, understand why these guidelines are important for a smooth operation.
