This needs to be done in regards to C++ and answers must be 3-4 sentences long

  1. Explain overloading. Identify the restrictions on operator overloading.
  2. Differentiate between friend and member functions of a class.
  3. Compare and contrast the notions of overloading and overriding of functions in C++.
  4. Design, implement, and test the implementation of “has-a” relationships among related objects from different classes.

Answer #1

a) Overloading in C++ is that we can have same name for function with different parameters.

Eg:print(int a )

     print(int a ,int b)

Restrictions on operator overloading:

1.The following C++ operators can not be overloaded.

    . , .*, : : ,?:

2.we can not overload pre-processing symbols # ,# #.

3.we can not change the precedence,grouping,or no of operands of the c ++ operators.

b) Member functions of a class has right to access its member variables and public variables of other classes whereas friend functions of a class has right to access the private variables of other classes also.Member function can be called using the object of the class whereas friend function can not be called using the object.

c)

Overloading in C++ is that we can have same name for function with different parameters.

Eg:print(int a )

     print(int a ,int b)

Overriding in C++ is that we can have same function with same paremeters in different class.We can see this scenario in Inheritance of super class and sub class.

Eg:

class A

{

print( int a)

}

class B implements A

{

//we can access the print method of A in B.
}

    This C++ Program consists of: operator overloading, as well as experience with managing dynamic memory allocation inside a class. Task One common limitation of programming languages is that the built-in types are limited to smaller finite ranges of storage. For instance, the built-in int type in C++ is 4 bytes in most systems today, allowing for about 4 billion different numbers. The regular int splits this range between positive and negative numbers, but even an unsigned int (assuming 4 bytes)...

    C++ For this assignment you will be building on the Original Fraction class you began last week. You'll be making four major changes to the class. [15 points] Delete your set() function. Add two constructors, a default constructor that assigns the value 0 to the Fraction, and a constructor that takes two parameters. The first parameter will represent the initial numerator of the Fraction, and the second parameter will represent the initial denominator of the Fraction. Since Fractions cannot have...

    1. Specification For this assignment, write a static class named ShortestRoute to find the shortest route between San Francisco to New York City. (What makes it "static" is that all its members will be static.) The class will include two static recursive functions -- the first is simple, and just finds a valid route through the network, without regards to shortest distance. The second finds the shortest route. Both are explained below. 2. Create A Network Create a constant array...
