The duration of baseball games in the major league in the 2010 and 2011 seasons is uniformly distributed between 2.76 and 3.22 hours inclusive. We would like to simulate 10,000 samples of 30 game duration time and construct a 90% and 98% confidence interval for the mean duration of 30 games for each of the samples, respectively. First, start a new worksheet MTBrandom 10000 c9-c38: SUBC> Uniform 2.76 3.22. MTBrmean c9-c38, c2 MTB > let c3 = c2-1.645*0.1328/sqrt(30) MTB > let c4 = c2 + 1.645*0.1328/sqrt(30) MTB > let c1=(c3 2.99) MTB >tally cl MTB let c6 c2 - 2.33*0.1328/sqrt (30) MTB > let c7 = c2 2.33*0.1328/sqrt (30) MTB > let c5=(c6 2.99) MTB tally c5 MTB > let c8 (c33.05 and c4 > 3.05) MTB > let c9-(c63.05 and c7 > 3.05) MTB > tally c8 MTB > tally c9 (a) (2 pts) What percentage of these 10.000 constructed 90% confidence intervals did actually contain the 2 population mean 2.99? (Rounding the number to the nearest integer) (b) (1 pt) Based on the interpretation of a 90% confidence interval, is this the number expected?
STAT-2507 Introduction to Statistical Modelling Winter 2019 (e) (2 pts) What percentage of these 10.000 constructed 98% confidence intervals did actually contain the population mean μ-2.99? (Rounding the number to the nearest integer) (d) (1 pt) Based on the interpretation of a 98% confidence interval, is this the number expected? (e) (2 pts) What percentage of these 10.000 constructed 98% confidence intervals did actually contain the average duration 3 hours and 3 minutes? (f) (2 pts) If you repeat the simulation one more time, do you expect the same answer in parts (b) and (d)? Justify your answer.

Roger's Theory- Diffusion of Innovation deals with the idea of how an innovation finds its space among the individual participants and the institutions as a whole. Roger proposes that Innovation needs four key elements or participants to influence its spread among the stakeholders. The four elements are:
The Innovation itself: Anything that solves a human problem or reduces the effort to reach output from the input is called innovation. It can be process innovation, a service innovation or a product innovation. It is meant to reduce the effort to achieve an end result.

The Communication Channel: The medium of propagation of innovation is very crucial as information flow is very crucial for an innovation to propagate and increase participation and hence increase the life cycle of innovation.

Time: An innovation needs to pass the test of time. For a change to be accepted by all, take time and iterations. The telephone required participation from all adopters for the network to be successful and it took a fair amount of time.

Social System: Roger's suggests that external participants such as Mass media, government regulations, and internal stakeholders family, relationships etc determine the social system and everyone must participate for innovations to flourish.
