Answer #1

Buffer solution: Solution which is prepared by mixing weak acid/weak base and its salt with strong base/strong acid.

Buffers are two types.

1) Acidic buffer

2) Basic buffer

HCN + NaCN is a acidic buffer solution.

An aqueous solution contains 0.31 M sodium cyanide + 0.30 mol HCN will be buffer solution. One liter of this solution could be converted into a buffer by the addition of 0.30 mol HCN.
