please kindly help with true or false from a to j. thank you
a) True, as the partial molar volume is the change in the volume of system when infinitesimally small amount of "i",'j' or 'k' is added or subtracted from the system at constant temperature and pressure. We cannot measure the change in volume by varying temperature and pressure as that would give us false results and results due to change in composition (by adding subtracting i, j or k) will be masked otherwise. Therefore this formula is correct.
b) True , Volume is extensive property and it will be the sum of all components of system.
c) False , let us suppose we have components i and j comprise 100 ml of whole system. The molar volume for i will be Vi / ntotal
whereas partial molar volume is Change in volume with no. of moles of j plus change with moles of i .
d) True, its unit is equivalent to m3/mol.

Partial-molar volume. In a binary solution the partial molar volumes of the two components can be determined from the mass density N/V as a function of the mole fraction x2 of component two: V, (») = M1 [1+ (1 – x2)M1 + x2M2 22 dp(x2)] p(x2) Ñ 8(x2) dx2 ] and Team - M2 (1. (1 – x2)M1 + x2M2 1 – 22 dp(x2)] p(x2) dx2 ] (22) = (x2) M2 where Mi denotes the molar mass of component i....

Justify the following sentences by answering (T) for TRUE or (F) for FALSE. (1 mark each) AE is independent on the initial and final state of a system. The sum of entropy changes of the system and surroundings is always positive. The ratio of numerical values of partial pressures of the reaction participants is unitless. Q is small if products pressures are small, a large Q means a negative or good (favorable) contribution to the free energy For pure solids...
