Answer #1

1.False , ∆E is a state function it depends only on initial and final state regardless of path followed. If we know initial and final temperature we can find change in internal energy easily. Internal energy is a strong function of temperature.

2 .False , for reversible process it is zero but for irreversible process it is positive because of heat generation due to friction.

3.True , if we take ratio of two quantities having same unit it becomes unitless.

4.No Q depends on how much heat is being transferred to / from system, it is positive when it is given to system and negative when it is extracted from system.

5. False , only at standard state activity becomes 1.

6.True, if change is Gibbs energy is negative process is spontaneous

Chem 1212 Lab Report on electrochemistry Electrochemistry When electrons transfer between reaction components in a redox reaction, we can harness the motion of the electrons to create a potential. Electrochemistry revolves around the separation of the two half-reactions in a redox reaction and establishing two different electrodes. This might involve physically separating the half-reactions or including a separator, such as a semi-permeable membrane or plastic dividers. With the reactions separated, the electrons will need to flow through the wire connecting...
