What is difference between the polymer crystals grown from solution and polymer melt?
The main difference between polymer crystals grown from solution and polymer melt is that the crystals that are grown from solutions are crystalline and the crystals that are grown from polymer melt are amorphous and semi-crystalline in nature.
The polymer crystals from solution are grown by evaporation. When the solution is dilute there is no interaction between the polymer chains as we evaporate the solution it becomes more concentrated and the chains come close and interaction between them increases. In this manner, the crystallization will be in an orderly manner and the degree of crystallization will be higher.
In the case of polymer melts, the long chain polymers are in an irregular and entangled form. Polymers retain this kind of irregular patterns upon solidification by freezing and form amorphous solids. Some polymer chains form partly ordered and partly disordered crystals giving rise to a solid that is neither crystalline nor amorphous(semi-crystalline).

elemental phosphorus consists of soft white waxy crystals that are easily crushed and melt at 44 degrees celsius. the solid does not conduct electricity. what type of crystal does phosphorus form?
Explain why the solution is removed from the crystals by decanting before the crystals are re-dissolved in a new portion of water.
Can you determine the difference between a polymer blend and a copolymer with IR spectroscopy?
An Extruding operation uses a polymer melt with a viscosity of 12 x 1ot and produc head pressure at the die of 800 psi from a screw with a fligh rotating at 60 rpm. The physical size of the barrel is: Length- 50.00 inches Diameter-2.50 inches Channel Depth- 0.20 inches Find the total volume flow rate of the plastic in the barrel.
You have prepared a solution of water-soluble polymer, and wish to isolate the polymer from the water by freeze drying it. This process involves two steps The temperature of the solution is dropped at ambient pressure to a temperature below water’s triple point. The pressure of the frozen solution is reduced until water spontaneously leaves the system With this above in mind, sketch a phase diagram of water showing regions of stability in its solid, liquid, and vapor phases. Then,...

It is desired to produce 1000 kg/h of Na_3 PO_4.12H_2 O crystals from a feed solution containing 5.6 wt % Na_3 PO_4 and traces of impurity. The original solution is first evaporated in an evaporator to a 35 wt % Na_3 PO_4 solution and then cooled to 293 K in a crystallizer, where the hydrated crystals and a mother-liquor solution are removed. One out of every 10 kg of mother liquor is discarded to waste to get rid of the...
