Having trouble with these 4 condensed matter review problems. Have a test tomorrow and would like to be prepared! Any help is appreciated and good answers will get a good review!!

1.) Resistivity of aluminum (density 2700 kg/m^3) at room temperature is 2.62x10^-8 ohm-m. Calculate the relaxation time, and drift velocity of conduction electron in a field of 50 mV.


2.) Calculate the temperature at which there is one percentage probability that a state with an energy 0.5 eV above the Fermi energy will be occupied by an electron.


3.) Electrical resistivity of copper and nickel at room temperature are 1.65x10^-8 ohm-m and 1.4x10^-8 ohm-m respectively. If Wiedmann-Frenz law applies to these materials, find the electronic contribution to the thermal conductivity of these materials.


4.) Assume that each atom of copper (At. Wt.=63.5, density 8940 kg/m^3) contributes one free electron. Calculate the drift velocity of free electrons in the copper conductor of cross sectional area 10^-4 m^2 carrying current of 200 A.
