Defined benefit plans are modified pension plans.The term defined is added to benefit plans since in defined benefit plans the investment can be calculated few years ahead of retirement.

Non discrimination is the act of fairly treating an employee without any unprejudiced treatment of different categories.

The act of introducing non discrimination regulations on defined benefit plans had bought a great sense of security among employees.It has increased team work spirit which has increased the productivity of the firm.Since,defined benefit plan yields the employer tax returns which was not possible in pension plans,it has turned out to be a great boon to the company.
