  • Actually interference of waves is the combinations of two waves when they approach each other.
  • But this combination of waves can be in phase or out of phase.
  • in phase interference is the addition of amplitudes of both i.e crest meets with crest and rough meets with trough of the other wave exactly.
  • Out of phase , the crest and troughs meets oppositely and their amplitudes cancels out resulting zero amplitude.
