Answer #1

(a)

f-g

we know that domain is all possible values of x

so, domain will be all domain of f and g

So, we get

4, 4

(b)

\frac{g}{f}

we know that f can not be zero

and f is zero at x=-1

so, domain will be

-4,-1) U (-1,4

(c)

Domain of f^-1

we know that domain of inverse function is range of original function

So, we get domain as

4, 4

(d)

(f-g)(-4)

(f-g)(-4)=f(-4)-g(-4)

(f-g)(-4)=-3-4

(f-g)(-4)=-7............Answer

(e)

(fg)(-2)-f-2)g(-2

(fg)(-2)--2x -2

( fg)(-2) = 4..........Answer

(f)

(fof)(-1)

(fof)(-1)=f(f(-1))

(fof)(-1)=f(0)

( fo f ) (-1)=2...........Answer

(g)

f^{-1}(2)

now, we can find x-value when f(x)=2

so, we get

f^{-1}(2)=0.............Answer
