a) Nyquist theorem is also know as sampling theorem, defined as " a continuous time signal can be completely represented in it's sample form and recovered back from sampled form, if the sampling frequency is greater or equal to 2 times the maximum frequency of the continuous time signal.
Therefore Nyquist theorem or sampling theorem is used to represent signal in sample form and reconstruct back from it's sample form when sampling frequency is greater than 2W( frequency of signal). When sampling theorem satisfied this condition then no aliasing or distortion takes place.
