a. The percentage of Americans who have tried marijuana in 1997 was 34%, last year it was 43% and today it is 51%. The data percentage for 1997 is not desirable because it is too old and the percentages for last year and today are desirable and we can use them to make assumptions about the future growth of the percentage of Americans who might try marijuana in coming years.

b. This source does not seem to be trustworthy because it is claiming about the whole population of Americans but the data is based on the boll by CBS and we are not sure that CBS poll is taken from the population of whole America. To investigate the trustworthiness of this source we can concern the government statistics for the use of marijuana in the country.
