Lipid concentration will increase phospholipid made via strategy 1, phosphatidate as well as via triacylglycerol.

  • Diacylglycerol acts as an intermediate in lipid synthesis, in the formation of triacylglycerol TAGs from phosphatidate, in the endoplasmic reticulum of liver via TAG synthase
  • The formed liver TAG is transported to muscle to be used as fuel or stored in adipose tissue as fat.
