1. Three ways Honda R &D Americas could recruit engineers to fill jobs at its research and development facility in Raymond, Ohio is through doing campus hiring, by advertising the positions through various online channels, job boards, company websites and social media platforms. The company can also ask its employees for referral from their networks. It can hire an external recruiting agency to find suitable candidates for hiring for its R & D facility.
2. If I was interviewing the candidate for a job at this facility, I would ask to determine if the candidate is satisfied to stay at Honda by asking for their long term goals and expectations. I would assess their willingness for the jobs, their skills and qualifications for the jobs, their personal interests and goals to find out if they will be satisfied to stay at Honda. It is important to give an idea to the candidate about the company culture and job requirements and take their feedback for finding their interests and determining their fit for the job.
3. Honda R & D's emphasis on recruiting recent graduates, rather than experienced automotive engineers, will affect the job if I was the supervisor of these employees as it would require more time and resources for training the graduates and monitor their performance. It will require them to learn about Honda's processes and systems and depending on the candidate's long term goals it can be beneficial experience for the company and my team as supervisor. The capabilities of the candidate and their willingness will determine their commitment to the job and if provided proper support by the company in such conditions, it is not required that the recruiting strategy is changed by Honda.
