K is Heterogeneous and anisotropic.

Kz is > Kx

Here the permeability is different for different layers so the K is Heterogeneous. Also the permeability is different along x and z direction so anisotropic.

Along the stratified layers equivalent permeability is arthmetic mean and along stratified layers equivalent permeability is hormonic mean.

As airthmetic mean is greater than harmonic so Kz is greater than Kx
