This is a study to predict the historical climate based on the proportion of finch birds in each year. The study was done in 1980.

A. The Age group corresponding to highest amount of rainfall is 4 years, which means finch birds of age 4 years are maximum in number. It also means that 4 years ago, there was a heavy rainfall and a lot of finch birds mated (Assuming 0 gestation period, other wise, the number would be 3). The survey was conducted in 1980. So 4 years ago was 1976. That was when we received the highest rainfall.

B. There are no finch birds in the year buckets of 2,3 & 10 years, which means 2 years ago, 3 years ago and 10 years ago, there was no rainfall.
