-Cell correction is important as it accounts for the noises caused by the instrument and scattering of light which can actually interfere with the readings from the analytes.

-Cell corrections are converted into absorbance to nullify the offset that noises cause in the overall sample absorbance.

-Cell corrections should be subtracted from the uncorrected absorbance reading.A wavelength is chosen where there is no absorbance due to the molecule or sample under consideration.The absorbance value at this wavelength is subtracted from the uncorrected absorbance readings to get the corrected reading.
