Flighty Florence and Careful Carol are both trying to estimate the weight of plants found at Vedauwoo. They collect 300 plants and put them each on a scale one by one. The scale uses a cheap balancing system that swings back and forth (over the weight and under the weight with equal frequency) until it finally settles on the correct weight.

Flightly Florence just looks up (before the scale has finished balancing) and records whatever value she sees.
Careful Carol waits until the scale has stopped swinging to get a good accurate reading.

In the end they both make a 95% confidence interval with their data (with equal sample sizes that include a lot of data points). How would you expect their confidence intervals to be different?

You would expect Flightly Florence to have an average that was  ---Select--- a bit higher than about the same as the exact same as a bit lower than Careful Carol.

You would expect Flightly Florence to have a standard deviation that was  ---Select--- about the same as a bit lower than a bit higher than the exact same as Careful Carol.

You would expect Flightly Florence to have a confidence interval that had a center that was  ---Select--- higher than like no where near lower than the center of Careful Carol's interval.

You would expect Flightly Florence to have a confidence interval that was more  ---Select--- narrow smooth wide normal than Careful Carol.

You would expect Flightly Florence to have  ---Select--- the same results as worse results than more funding than better results than more data than Careful Carol.

Exercise 2 Separation of a Mixture Based on Acid-Base Properties One purpose of this exercise is to learn how to use a separatory funnel to extract a single component away from other compounds in solution. To do so, we will apply the principles of solubility and acid-base behavior you’re seeing in class. One of the compounds is neutral in the acid-base sense. It has no ability to either donate or accept a proton from an aqueous solution, and will remain...

Please read the article and answer about questions. You and the Law Business and law are inseparable. For B-Money, the two predictably merged when he was negotiat- ing a deal for his tracks. At other times, the merger is unpredictable, like when your business faces an unexpected auto accident, product recall, or government regulation change. In either type of situation, when business owners know the law, they can better protect themselves and sometimes even avoid the problems completely. This chapter...
