QC7. (a) advantages of resins transfer infusion (RTI) Over composite manufacturing technologies are as given below.

1. Process can be employed for cost effective methods of manufacturing a good quality and higher strength of composite parts.
2. The initial investment cost required is very less.
3. The process is capable of producing minimum weighted products.
4. In process there is reduction of workplace exposure.

b) advantages of composite over metallics are listed below.

1. Greater durability- the structure which is made up of composite have long life and need less maintenance compared to metal.
2. Corrosion resistance - composite structures are highly resistance of corrosion than metal. Usually metals gets corroded because of environment changes.
3. Light weight - structure of composite is less in weight as compared to metal.and where the less weight application is there the composite are used.
4. High design flexibility- there is high design flexibility in design of composite material, and they can be molded into very complicated shapes easily.

C) Limitations of utilizing complex multi axial reinforcement are as follows.

1. crimp in reinforcement - high crimp in reinforcement which can reduce mechanical properties such as tensile and compressive properties.
2. Cost of production - If we need to produce complex shapes, then we need modification of machines as per requirements.
3. Processing difficulties - while processing of operations there are some difficulties can arises such as high pressure, and thermal effect.
