Answer #1

Tuberculosis is a disease which is caused by Mycobacteria. These microbes gets in to lungs of the person from the infected person. These bacteria multiply themselves and causes the infection to be spread in the lungs. This causes increased fluid accumulation in the lungs.

Tuberculosis is transmitted from the infected person's droplets of cough. When a normal person inhale these droplets causes infection as they contain bacteria. The duration of the exposure of the susceptible person increases the risk of infection.

Treatment of the tuberculosis includes bacteriocidal and bacteriostatic effects. The drugs are involved such as:

  • Isoniazid
  • Rifampicin
  • Pyrazinamide
  • Ethambutol.

Family members can protect themselves by wearing mask, not using infected clothes of the person, maintaining personal hygiene.
