Answer #1

Answer is d.

The athlete hydration status should be evaluated before starting any rigorous sport activity. Athletes should begin all exercises well hydrated. There are several ways to assess the hydration status. Assuming the athlete is properly hydrate pre-exercising body weight should be relatively consistent throughout the entire exercise session.

One should determine the percentage difference between post exercise body weight and also determine the baseline hydrated body weight. The post exercise weight should be no more than 2% less than the pre-exercise weight.

Dehydration of 1 to 2 percent of body weight starts compromising with the physiological function and negatively affects the performance of an athletic.
