Answer #1

The volume for normal saline = 1litre or 1000 ml

The rate of flow = 200ml/hr

CALCULATION OF INFUSION TIME

Formula for infusion time -

Time (hr) = volume(ml) / rate(ml/hr)

So by the values given in question,

infusion time = 1000ml / 200ml/hr

infusion time = 5 hr

The nurse will infuse the fluid for 5 hrs and 0 minutes.
