The amount of fluid to be infused is 0.2 liter = 200 milliliter

Time in which it has to be infused = 16 minutes

Drop factor given is = 10 gtts / milliliter

So on putting values in above formula –

(200/16) * 10 = 125 gtts per minutes

From above rate of 125 gtts per minutes we can get rate for 1 hour (1 Hour = 60 minutes)

So 125* 60 = 7500 gtts per hour is the rate to be set

Since 10 gtts = 1 milliliter , we can use this to get amount to be infused in milliliter.

Hence 7500/10 = 750 ml per hour

Infusion pump has to be set at a rate of 750 ml per hour in order to infuse 200 ml over 16 mintues with drop factor of 10 gtts per milliliter.

Total dose in 250 ml dextrose is 200 milligram hence at the rate of 14. 4 milligram per hour

it will be sufficient for

200/ 14.4 = 13.88 hours

Since 1 hour is of 60 minutes so converting decimals will give 13 Hours 50 minutes

So approximately 13 hours 50 minutes will be required to infuse whole solution at the given dose and rate to maintain patients blood pressure above 90 mm of Hg.
