I haven chosen Travel Nurse
Travel nurses are Registered nurses from various clinical backgrounds who work for independent staffing agencies . They are temporary staffs posted or hired in the institution whenever there is a shortage of staffs or requirement of staffs . They are hired to work in specific location for a maximum period of 13weeks in one area and move around the country depending upon where there needed.
The reason to choose travel nurse is simple ,I love to travel and explore new places , initiatives etc . Travel nurse will provide me the opportunity to travel from one place to another in the country and also I don't have to pay the travel charges.
The advantages of Travel nurse are :-
- you get paid to travel
- travel nurses get great pay higher than the permanent staffs, additionally they get free housing , reimbursement ,cash bonus etc.
- you can take as much as vacations you need
- travel nurse gets variety of opportunity to explore and work in renowned research institute , prestigious teaching facilities to small hospitals Gets exposure of new technologies, programme initiatives and procedurers etc.
The disadvantages of travel nurse are :-
- Most of the travel nurses are the first selected to float because it's your duty to fill the gaps .
- travel nurses may face animosity from their colleagues who work permanently in hospitals because travel nurses are paid higher than clinical nurse and also they get opportunity to travel.
- travel nurse have short orientation period so, they have to grasp quickly.
- travel nurse has to work extra nights and weekends if there is requirement.
- travel nurses has to travel alone , they feel lonely ( if someone has a habit of company ) . Every time they have to travel new places , new people ,new culture , customs ,foods etc which sometimes make them uncomfortable.
