Nurse might be hear the high pitched ,gurgling ,clicking sounds

Normal Bowel sounds can be quite loud and often audible without stethoscope .

Bowel sounds are best heared with the diaphragm portion of the stethoscope .

Normal range approximately 5- 35 sounds per minute or at least 1 every 5- 15 seconds .

Metallic sounds

Borborygmi - loud rumbling sounds .
