Ex: lifting arms out of the side
Adduction: Any movement of the towards the midline of the body
Ex; bringing arms back towards the body
Flexion: decrease the angle of the joint
Ex: bending the knee or elbow
Extension- Increasing the angle of the joint
Ex: straightening the knee or elbow
