1. Include information about your “niche” in the Nursing program...in other words, how did you feel "called" to the Nursing profession? Do you have a passion for a specific "practice" in Nursing (infants, ICU, etc.)?

2. In your writing, reflect how your experience as a Nursing student has influenced your interpretation of the bible.

3. Has your view of the bible and biblical truth changed since you have been in your Nursing program?

4. How will this experience continue to shape your interpretation as well as an application of the Bible (what scholars will call, “the movement from belief to praxis”)?

Answer #1

1. Nursing is a profession which makes us more connected to people more when compared to other health care professionals. A nurse can understand how the patients suffer from illness because they put oneself in else's shoes. The patience and compassion of nurses really made me enter the profession. I felt so exaggerated . I don't know whether I can do justice for the profession . But after entering, my passion towards nursing started to develop . I always love to work as a critical care nurse , who helps the people to close the door of death. Critical care nurses not only help you to heal and recover but also create a healthy environment for the team . Critical care nurse come across more stressful situations but after seeing a patient who becomes stabilized by their team's work ,give a feeling of happiness & relaxation . That feeling is priceless and gives peace. Maintaining balance between home and work have more stress but once we master it to handle , we will travel long way in hearts of the people we care for.

2. I will use a biblical quote to express my feeling  'God can be known, but he cannot be known completely (Deut. 29:29).' When I was a nursing student , I came across more distressful moments . Even there was a passion towards nursing I felt awkward to work with severe ill patients. I received help from fellow students and teachers to succeed in the career but still some people came as a hindrance for that. I think whatever happens, that are because of God( happiness or sadness ). I had to identify my motivation to succeed in my career. I received help anonymously from God at my hard times through the people who distressed me.

3. Absolutely my view of the bible and biblical truth overwhelmed after starting practicing the profession. God is found everywhere , even in your smile which helps in healing of people. When you face hatred ,and when you can give back care & love , there lives God.

4.Faith is the one and only nursing tool which should be always held in hands while treating patients .
