Using the high low method

Variable cost rate = difference in total cost / difference in units

= ($74575-41545) / (40040-18020)

= $1.50

Fixed portion = total - variable

= $41545 - (18020*$1.50)

= $14515

Hence intercept = $14515

Slope = $1.50

Assuming total cost = Y and units = X

Equation will be

Y = $1.50X + $14515
