When comparing japan, the major OECD country with United States following are the major differences

1) Expenditure

Japan spend a very little amount on health care as compared to United States.

No individual goes bankrupt due to health expense in Japan as in United States

Major reason for this is the healthy lifestyle followed by Japanese

Another important reason is that the prizes for all procedures and drugs are fixed leading to cheaper insurance.

2) Access

Canada another top OECD country provide universal access to heath care of its citizens while United States nearly 1 in 5 non elderly is uninsured.
